We've heard enough about fear. Terror, the war, a shaky economy, pivotal elections, troubled times....It seems in the information age, it is quite easy to get too much information. Let's take a break. Let's turn this energy around. Join us at Gray Bear as we celebrate life. This beautiful planet we live upon, the energy coursing through our bodies, the laughter radiating from our being; this will be the focus for our weekend. JJ Gormley will lead us in a yoga practice dedicated to opening our bodies and our hearts. Amy & samavayah kirtan band will lift our spirits with music, meditation drumming and dance. And of course, we'll spend some time hiking to the waterfall, watching the stars and soaking up the bountiful energy this earth has to share. Grounded on the earth with our spirits soaring towards the heavens, it is time to re-ignite our internal fire and rededicate our lives to the principals we wish to live by. To find harmony. In short: it's time to move....Dancing on the Terra; an Earth Day Celebration.
A Friends of Gray Bear event, funds from this retreat will be directly used to preserve a a pristine forest in need of support. Join us for wonderful food, quiet moments, refreshing yoga and sweet music and do you'll be doing your part in helping to preserve this planet we all share. See you under the stars!
In the yoga workshop you will learn to move from your core, to blossom into yoga postures from your inner strength; to awaken not only your internal alignment, but also your alignment with the Source. The workshop will teach you to find greater strength. Anchored in your core, you will also find an understanding, embracing, and celebration of your unique needs.
About the Instructor:
JJ employs a gentle, non- judgmental teaching style that allows students to be where they are in any given yoga pose and encourages them to accept and honor that place. JJ has a very diverse yoga background having studied from many traditions since 1979, most recently the teachings of the Desikachars (TKV and his son, Kausthub).
She has produced six yoga videos/DVDs, and a chanting CD which can be purchased on sun and moon's website.
